• Received an Associates of Science General Transfer degree from Columbia State Community College in 1991

• Received a Bachelors of Science with a dual major in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from the University of North Alabama in 1993

• Became a licensed CPA in 2002 after passing the exam on the first sitting

• Received a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems from the University of North Alabama in 2006

• Started teaching at both Columbia State Community College and the University of North Alabama in 2007
