CIS 109 - Computer Applications I

This course provides hands-on experience using commercial software packages for business applications. Topics include microcomputer system components, operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Keyboarding skills are highly recommended. (Formerly numbered CIS 151). 

 

Credit Hours: 3
 

This semester the following topics will be covered.

  • Computer Essentials

  • Windows XP Basics

  • Microsoft Word 2007

  • Microsoft Excel 2007

  • Microsoft Power Point 2007

All homework must be completed using Microsoft Office 2007.  Each lab at Columbia State Community College has Microsoft Office 2007 loaded on each computer for your use.
